Abaete- Designer Fashion Label
Abaete (pronounced as Ah-bye-ah-tay) was launched in 2004 by Laura Poretzky, a French designer. Abaete means “person of virtue” and it is the family/ancestral name of the designer Laura Poretzky. It is the insignia of the traditional Portugese family pinnacle which epitomize that every cloth/garment is an endeavor of love and dignity of family. Laura’s great grandfather was the President of Brazilian Senate. Due to his leading services he was awarded this emblem which later becomes their family name.
Laura Poretzky was born in France. Her father was a Russian citizen and her mother was Danish-Brazilian. She was brought up in Rio de Janeiro, Paris and Manhattan. She got admission in Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) to study photography. After getting admission she got interested in fashion designing field and switch over to it and studied fashion designing. By putting her intelligence and skills she managed to become a professional and famous designer.
 Laura Poretzky launched Abaete and initiated her work with the resort omnibus. Moreover, Abaete is recognized for the top quality fabrics and outfits. The designer Laura supervises and finalizes her production work by herself. Abaete personifies the soul and spirit of its creator, Laura Poretzky. In an interview Laura Poretzky said that: “Abaete captures French Femininity, Brazilian name and American simplicity.” Laura has successfully established her branches in almost all states of US. The main head office of her designer label Abaete is in New York. The production teams of Abaete work in New York and produce the quality outfits.
As Laura spent maximum part of her life on beaches of Brazil therefore, she like swimming wear dresses and have designed Brazilian inspired swimming costumes and resort wear. Her brand Abaete got prevalent eminence and fame. Abaete outfits were top in fashion right from Hollywood to Hamptons. The Abaete suits become top in fashion magazines. Moreover, the celebrities and models also start wearing Abaete dresses.
Laura Poretzky has also designed dresses based on Latin and European cultures. She is widening her collection day by day by putting in her unique and intellectual skills.
