Alessandro Dell'Acqua – Fashion lingerie for women

Alessandro Dell’Acqua born on December 21 in 1962 in Naples is a fashion designer. He studied at the Art Institute of Naples. He graduated in 1982, with specialization in graphic design. After his studies, he started his career working for the Marzotti group. He has also worked in a knitwear mill, and the fellow employees of the knitwear mill now work for him. Alessandro Dell’Acqua was also the leading designer for Pietro Pianforini. His sensual, lingerie-inspired women’s wear kept him over the top of Italian fashion. Dell presented his first creation - prêt a porter collection at Milan Moda Dona in 1996 which received a host of reviews from all corners. And in January 1998, he presented his first men’s fashion line at Piti in Florence.

Alessandro Dell’Acqua became the creative director at Malo, the Italian luxury knit company. For pre-fall 2009 high-end capsule collection, Alessandro Dell’Acqua presented twenty black dresses. In June 2009, Alessandro Dell’Acqua separated with his eponymous label by informing in a press release that the men’s Spring-Summer 2010 and women’s pre-spring 2010 collections will be released without his approval.

He has returned to the fashion scene with his new collection with the name N°21. The name of his new collection is derived from his birthday and it is believed to be his lucky number. His 80 piece collection which ranges from knitwear to outerwear debuted at the Fall 2010 Milan Fashion Week and received great comments. His blend of sensuality using contrasting fabrics like chiffon and double faced crepe with luxurious clothes is a master class of explicit beauty.
