Alfred Fiandaca and His Journey in the World of Fashion
Today, the existence of many great and excellent designers brought so many pressures to each and every one of them. This is because they will keep on creating fantastic designs to match up the trends and styles to every generation that we have. Among of the renowned designer in the field of fashion is Alfred Fiandaca. He was an Italian- American designer who spent his time in the family of his father in Boston. When he was in East Boston, it was his hobby to make patterns and designs and cut it off to create his own unique styles. This hobby gave him an idea that he could developed much more than he think, that is why when he was at the age of 17 he went to New York City and studied fashion designing in the Fashion Institute of Technology.
After he graduated in the fashion school in New York City, he decided to go back in East Boston where he grew up and discovered his talents in fashion designing. It was also during this time when Alfred Fiandaca formally opened his first fashion shop which was situated on Maverick Street. One of his greatest breaks at that time was when he was chosen by the wife of the newly elected governor to make designs of a new pair of suit and gown for the inauguration event. Because of this event, he was widely known by many top personalities and his excellent skills in fashion designing made his name to be on top among other designers. In just a few year times, Alfred Fiandaca fully decided go to fashionable places like the Worth Avenue, Madison Avenue and Newbury Street where he can freely spread his artworks. Not only this one, even the well known top seller’s stores in the United States such as the Henri Bender , Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman have accepted, embraced and sold the fantastic designs made by Alfred Fiandaca.
 On the other hand, Alfred Fiandaca was known to be the third generation fashion designer and has doing this work for about 34 years now. In fact, among of the popular fashionable women he dressed up during the big events of 1975 which was the Academy Awards were Lady Bird Johnson, Louise Fletcher, Julie Andrews and many more. Alfred Fiandaca was also the one who dressed up the best actress winner of 2000, Gail Ryan and some Makeup winners of Dr. Seuss like Jane Dudley, Jean Kennedy, Sarah Farrish, Pia Lindstorm and a lot more.
His creativity, handwork and excellent skills in fashion designing made him a very well known designer internationally. In fact, Alfred Fiandaca gathered honors and awards while he was in midst of his career. In the year 2000 he received an honor in one of the fashion exhibit which was the “Fiandaca: Four Decades of Designs” and granters a scholarship given by the Massachusetts College of Arts. Three years after he received an honor, he was then awarded in 2003 by the Palm Beach Chapter of the Jewish Guild for the Blind for his exemplary works, undying support and friendship that he offered to the Guild. A year after, Alfred Fiandaca was awarded by the School of Fashion Designs in Boston as the “Isobel S. Sinesi Lifetime Achievement in Fashion”
