Allu Arjun was born on April 8, 1983 to film producer Allu Aravind in West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh. Allu Aravind is an eminent film producer known for blockbuster Hindi and Telugu films like ‘Hero’, ‘Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai’, ‘Happy’, ‘Jalsa’, ‘Ghajini’, ‘Magadheera’, among others. Allu Arjun hails from a filmy background as the notable film actors Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan are his uncles and ‘Magadheera’ fame Ram Charan Teja is his cousin. Moreover Allu Arjun is the grandson of notable comic actor Allu Ramalingaiah.

Allu Arjun first appeared in a guest role in Suresh Krishna’s ‘Daddy’ produced by his father. ‘Daddy’ starred Chiranjeevi, Simran and Ashima Bhalla in lead roles. Allu Arjun made his debut as a hero in ‘Gangotri’ directed by K. Raghavendra Rao and produced by big time producers Allu Aravind and C. Ashwini Dutt. The film became a box office hit with a hundred-day run in 53 centres. Allu Arjun earned huge fan following by playing the protagonist in Sukumar’s ‘Arya’ also starring Anu Mehta, Siva Balaji and Subbaraju. ‘Arya’ was not only a mega hit but also earned Allu Arjun the Santosham Best Young Performers Award and Nandi Award for Special Jury. Allu Arjun also starred in its sequel ‘Arya 2’ alongside Kajal Aggarwal, Navdeep and Shraddha Das. ‘Arya 2’ released in the year 2009 also received rave reviews and strengthened his status as an actor.

Allu Arjun hit a hat trick with the success of VV Vinayak’s ‘Bunny’ co-starring Prakash Raj and Gowri Munjal. This was his third superhit in a row after ‘Gangotri’ and ‘Arya’. In addition to the commercial success of ‘Bunny’, Allu Arjun also received a Santosham Best Young Performers Award. Allu Arjun was next seen in A. Karunakaran’s romantic film ‘Happy’ alongside Genelia D'Souza and Manoj Bajpai. ‘Happy’ was the remake of Radha Mohan’s Tamil film ‘Azhagiya Theeye’ starring Prasanna, Prakash Raj, Navya Nair, Abbas and Rambha.
Allu Arjun’s ‘Desamuduru’ was a blockbuster hit with a successful hundred days in 129 centres and a remarkable 175 days in nine centres. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, ‘Desamuduru’ also starred Hansika Motwani, Pradeep Rawat and Ali. The film was later released in Malayalam and Tamil as ‘Hero: The Real Hero’ and Hindi as ‘Ek Jwalamukhi’. Allu Arjun did a cameo appearance in Prabhu Deva’s ‘Shankar Dada Zindabad’, a remake of the superhit Bollywood film ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ starring Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Vidya Balan and Boman Irani. ‘Shankar Dada Zindabad’ featured popular actors like Chiranjeevi, Srikanth, Karishma Kotak, Dilip Prabhavalkar, Sayaji Shinde, Sadha, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun and Ravi Teja.
Allu Arjun received the prestigious Filmfare Best Telugu Actor Award as well as the Nandi Special Jury Award for his impactful performance in Bhaskar’s ‘Parugu’. Produced by Dil Raju, the film also starred Sheela, Poonam Bajwa and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles. ‘Parugu’ won several awards including the Third Best Feature Film of the year 2008. Allu Arjun was recently seen in Gunasekhar’s ‘Varudu’ alongside Bhanushri, Arya and Suhasini Mani Ratnam and Krish’s ‘Vedam’ co-starring Manoj Manchu, Anushka Shetty, Manoj Bajpai and Nagayya.
Allu Arjun will soon be seen in his father Allu Aravind’s mega budget film ‘Badrinath’ directed by V.V. Vinayak and also starring Tamannaah Bhatia. Aamir Khan’s nephew and Bollywood heartthrob Imran Khan will be seen doing a cameo in ‘Badrinath’.
