Aquascutum, a fashion shop
The Aquascutum was built in the year of 1951.this year is considered as a great exhibition year in the history of fashion industry. Aquascutum was founded by a tailor whose name was John Emery at 46 Regent Street. In the beginning the Aquascutum was a shop of men’s wear of high quality. In year 1853 John Emery produced the first ever waterproof wool. In the year 1901 the John Emery moved his shop to the 100 street regent which is still the store of Aquascutum in the centre of the London city. The company was promoted mostly by designing the coat for the king Edward seven who was the royal leader of fashion at that time.

Women’s ware department
In the year 1900 the Aquascutum opened a women’s wear department. The women’s wear variety designed at that time was very marvelous and it becomes very famous. The company offers water resistant coats and caps and they were very much famous among the British suffragettes. The company has supplied to its products to many world renowned leaders.
Owner of the company
The Aquascutum was owned by the family of the John Emery until the year 1990.in the year 1990 the company was sold to the Japanese textile company called as Renown incorporated.
Royal works
The company has supplied its products to the queen Elizabeth, the wife of the king George four.
Present day operations
The company has made the Kim winser the chief executive officer and president in the year 2006. Winser was very experienced executive who has work experience at Marks and Spencer and in other renowned companies. The Giesele Bundchen has modeled for the collections of the Aquascutum. In September 2009 the businessman Harold Tillman and businesswoman Belida Earl bought the company.
New variety
The Aquascutum has announced arrival of its new spring summer collection 2011. The new spring summer collection provides wardrobe for translational summer season. The new styles also reflect a modern twist. The collection includes suede and lexes leather products. The products are also available in the fabric called as laminated cotton. The key pieces in this new collection includes Aquascutum’s signature waterproof trench – in the form of sleeveless version. The new collection also includes smart peg leg trousers which give a very wonderful and gorgeous look. The collection also includes a very wonderful and attractive colored shirt style jacket which has become very famous due to its uniqueness. One very good point of the company is that it had managed clearly between the classic heritage band for what they are famous and modern styles which change day by day.
New Golf range
The Aquascutum has launched its own golf range for men and women. The knitwear incorporates the check pattern is mixed with the latest and advanced waterproofing technology with the combination of the classic colors of black, red and grey. The golf range offers a collection of unique approach to apparel of the golf. It has combined the performance with the most exceptional style. The Aquascutum company present chief executive Belinda Earld said that the new golf range has given them opportunity to communicate with a new type of customers.
