She started building her career with the Big Joes as a merchandiser. Ashima took another course which is in fashion designing and she completed it from National Institute of Fashion Technology. When Ashima graduated in fashion designing in 1993, she began working at Big Joes with Lina and as soon as they like each other, they became friends. Their friendship made a way to make their own establishment and make their own brand while Ashima and Lina are known to be professional in regards to the business. Lina became the last person to know that her brother and Ashima had a relationship even though they were best of friends.
 Lina and Ashima are one of some designers who showed four collections systematically each year.
