India is also noted for being the home of the greatest fashion designers. Ashish Soni is one of the Indian fashion designers who finish his studies in New Delhi in the year 1991 taking up a Degree in Design and Clothing Technology. Of the 7000 applicants, he was one of the 25 luckiest individual who was given a chance to finish and graduate the Bachelor’s Degree in Design and Clothing. After his excellent performance in his studies, he has built himself with confidence in establishing his own label and name not only in the field of fashion but also as entrepreneur as well. Ashish Soni has made lots of effort to create a high quality designs and unique styles in his chosen field. Because of his impressive ways in making designs of the clothes and styling as well, he was able to generate lots of fabulous designs for both men and women individuals. His creativity in the styles and the quality that he employs to his work gives a reputable mark on his collections. Due to this, Ashish Soni collection was heartily embraced in India not only because of his ability to create fantastic designs but also his creativity was influenced by Western culture. In 1992, Ashish Soni was able to launch the Ashish Soni label and opened the so called “Ikos” designs studio in 1993. It was also in this year where he was recognized as the first Indian fashion designer to make a solo fashion shows thus making his name to be one of the top rank Indian fashion designer. In his career, after the launching of his label, he was able to do a total of 8 remarkable solo fashion shows. Among of the features of his solo fashion shows were his collection on a spring/ summer wears in 1998 which was held in Carlton Towers in London. His collection also reached in Dubai where he makes a solo fashion shows on Summer Collection held in World Trade Center. This event is successfully done in one of the top selling and biggest fashion clothing retail outlet in Dubai which was the “Fasateen”. Aside from this, Ashish Soni also joined lots of foreign fashion festival events in Hongkong, Singapore, Thailand and to his own country. He was also participated in the APEC Road Shows which were conducted in Paris, London and New York.
 In the 2002 LIFW fashion shows, Ashish Soni focused on the Indigo denim wears in an organic linens and pure white cottons. In his collection he presented different styles and designs like employing tucks and peats, slits, popcorn perma-settng and ruching. He also used fringes to intensify the beauty of his collections. On the other hand, in LIFW of 2003, he concentrated on the fashion trends of the 70’s for both women and men individuals. He uses pure white colored clothes in his collection and another groups of his collection focused on a black and white colored wears. These are some of his fashion successful shows in his fashion designing career. It was in 2001 where Ashish Soni opened his Flagship store in New Delhi and in the following years he also launches his store in Mumbai.
