Ben De Lisi

Excellent fashion designer Ben de Lisi was an award winning fashion designer who won the Glamour Award for Brkistish Fashion in two years time. He was born in Brooklyn in 1955 and was raised near a beach in Long Island and completed his studies from New York’s Pratt Institute in the year 1997 taking up Sculpture and Painting course. Ben de Lisi had worked shortly in Bloomingdale when Ben was still in college and making a painting design to bundles of shirts and bargain it to Saks 5th Avenue. While he was doing this work, he stayed with a young fashion designer named Penelope. This kind of work collaboration made him realized to start making apparels in each fabric he paints. After five years of working with Penelope, he went on to launch his personal clothing named “Benedito”. The brand BENEDITO comes from his name in Christian. He went to London to continue his vision in designing in 1982 and made his personal pellet collections.

More so, in Belgravia a place located in London, Ben de Lisi opened Ciboure which was his French restaurant. He made a design of 10 parts of pellets collection through task shared material that were chopped on the bench of his French restaurant. Ben de Lisi ended with 30,000 orders when he buffeted the street. Sometimes, he was inspired in making night gowns and swim wears this was why in Elizabeth St. of Belgravia he opened a new clothing chop in the year December of 1998. On the other hand, it was in 1992 when Ben de Lisi first showed his collections for women’s sportswear in New York. The collections were composed of shirts, jackets, trouser and knits and were bargained at all stores around America like Macy, Bloomingdale and Neiman Marcus. It was in the same year when Ben de Lisi’s BDL and Debenhams were joined together and it became one of the biggest merchandising series in the Designers of Women’s Wear for the portfolio of Debenhams.

His collection of wedding dress and evening gowns were modern and beautiful through the look of his trademark that will be accredited as design. The design for the wedding dress and evening gowns made by Ben de LISI was a special and personal action. He always made appointments to talk over about fabric, style and some point of view about wedding dresses. He will create interpretations when your dresses were sketched and garments were assembled. If the garments has been chosen, the wedding dress will be crafted by hand adding more fashions and furnished by hand to make an appropriate fitting to make the dress for the wedding a true illusion.

In addition, Ben de Lisi won the award for British Glamour Designer of the Year twice in the years 1994 & 1995. At the same year he started exhibiting at the Fashion Week in London. After a couple of years, it was in 2001 when Ben de Lisi started to create designs and styles interpretations for the apartments with the North West England’s Countryside Properties. Ben de Lisi also awarded in 2007 a titular master’s degree by University of Northampton shire for Ben’s fashion design’s donation.
