Bruno Pieters

Bruno Pieters is born in Belgium. He completed his studies in Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts in the year 1999. After completing his fine arts course, Bruno Pieters moved on to Paris to work for various labels like the Pair’ Martin Margiela, Christian Lacroix, Antonio Pernas and Josephus Thimister.

During his 2009 Fall show for ready-to-wear collection, he was mentioning Eckhart Tolle’s A New Earth book as the beginning of his inspiration. The Belgian fashion designer does not do unsophisticated with his creations. During his previous season, he access his way of tailoring to coat dress and skirts dress with a mathematical attention making them a piece with triangles and squares, the panels in origami were inserted in the waistline, making big and bending it flat at the neckline and making some layers to the sharp and adjusting results over turtlenecks bodysuit with runway pumps and black tights in opaque.

It was in the year 2001 in July when Bruno Pieters was acknowledged as the first Belgian Antwerp to show a design collection for the couture week in Paris and it was entitled Part I-Daywear. The collection for the dress was featuring 12 kinds of figures which were inspired by a suit for 1950’s fresh look. The exhibit was a parade of dresses, nothing more but only dresses. One of the guests who attended the exhibition that night was Suzy Menkes of the “IHT” was describing the fashion designer Bruno Pieters as a very controversial fresh talent. In the “I’officiel” of French magazine, the editor wrote that Bruno Pieters has made a good show and apparently the most design show of the week. It was in 2002 of March when Bruno Pieters was launching his very basic ready-to-wear collection and showing his ever-present attachment for ways and craftsmanship. This remarkable designer is a first and early skilled worker, the best constructionist who really likes to do experimenting with forms and symmetry. It was in March of 2006 when a photographer named Karl Lagerfeld was taking a photo of Bruno Pieters for the magazine called Madame Figaro. The photos were shot and featured 30 of the best Paris designers.

On the other hand, it was in the 2006 of March in Knack magazine issue, there were 14 icons in music, fashions and art were requested to name a gifted young designer. One person named Van Noten selected this remarkable designer Bruno Pieters. It was in the 2007 when Bruno was selected as the art director of the Hugo Boss’ avant grade line. At present, Bruno Pieters is the newest creative director as well for Delvaux women’s line, the oldest leather company of Europe. Bruno Pieters has been receiving lots of awards for being such an excellent fashion designer. The awards given to him are Andam-Yves Saint Laurent Award, Elle Style Award as the best Belgian designer for the year 2008, and Swiss Textile Award in the year 2006, Andam-Fondation Pierre Berge and Yeves Saint Laurent Award. He was also awarded as the most promising fashion designer for the year 2000 from Fortis Bank and best women’s shoe designer in 1999 given by Coccodrillo Award.
