It is very interesting that it has developed as a fashion label which creates clothes for women, children and sportswear couture, since it started as a company which was launched in 1945, and whish created shoes for little children. Now it has became one of the most luxurious fashion houses in France. Celine even from the beginning was appreciated for the quality of the clothes and accessories that it created. Being a much sought out company which creates great clothes as it is a great business, it developed very quickly and now has boutiques everywhere in the world. Also, being a French label as it is, it is very well received in France, where the women love the clothes and love to buy them too. The fashion house Celine was created by Madame Celine Vipiana, who governed it, so to say for forty years. Being a very well mannered and very elegant woman as it is, she succeeded in creating a fashion emporium around a little business. She governed the company with a steady hand, and when it was time in 1997 to let somebody else take the lead she went for Michael Kors who stayed at the house until 2004. During that period the fashion house developed and gained a lot of popularity around it. But after Michael Kors left it, something got lost along the way, and even when the ex- designer for Burberry, Roberto Menichetti, took the lead it struggled to generate some buzz as it is.

Nowadays the fashion house Celine is still seen as one of the most important in the fashion industry, as it is Burberry, Gucci or even Balmain. It is surely known that the label Celine struggles to win some of the popularity that it got lost along the way with the help of the new designer who was brought in to help the label, Ivana Omazic. She took the lead of the creative department starting with 2009 and until now has succeeded in doing very well. Celine rebranded itself and now is promising a new era for fashion and, being an old and very well established fashion house as it is, that should be very easy. We just have to wait and see as it is time for that.
