Cerutti-High end clothes for men and women

Cerutti is a very well known fashion label. It was founded by Nino Cerutti in the late 1960 as an haute-couture fashion house, and since then it developed in great manner. The Cerutti fashion house created at first haute-couture collections for men and then after some years it entered the fashion industry for women as well. The first collection shown by Nino Cerutti was named “Hitman” and it was considered a revolution in men fashion at that time. And being a well renowned fashion house for men as it is for women, it creates clothes using high end materials and designs. This is an important aspect since the fashion label Cerutti is very well received all over the world. The clothes are expensive as it is, but the manufacturers do a great job in giving them the best quality.

Cerutti developed as a family woolen business which was handled by Nino’s grandfather. After he died he decided to expand the business and decided to create high-end clothes. Being a great business as it is, the chairman of the fashion house decided that it should only base in creating high-end clothing. Over the years the fashion house has developed ready to wear clothing lines for women as well as for men and also accessories. As it is a very well regarded fashion house there is no doubt that it gets high praises from the fashion critics. Cerutti succeeds in showing great fashion shows at the most important events of the kind in the world. As it is a well received fashion house, the family decided to develop flagrances with its name as well. So the first flagrance created by the company appeared on the market in the late 1970s with Nino Cerutti for Men, followed by numerous other flagrances.

The fashion house being as popular as it is, there is no surprise that it should collaborate with the cinema industry. That is why the fashion house created clothes for very popular movies like, “Bonnie and Clyde”, „Pretty Woman” or “Basic Instinct”. Along the years the house changed its designers. There were among them, the popular Giorgio Armani, Donna Karan, Narciso Rodriguez, Roberto Menichetti and the last one to collaborate with the house is Jean Paul Knott, a Belgian designer who worked for Krizia. Being a very well renowed business as it is and because it generates a lot of money, in an effort to expand the owner of the company decided to sell 51% of its auctions to an Italian industrial group in 2000, and since there has been some conflicts of interest between the company and the actual owner it; he was forced out of the company. Being very well known for its high end collections created under its actual owner as it is for its well made creations, when the company lost its formal owner, Mr. Nino Cerutti, it suffered a great loss and in 2006 it had to file for bankruptcy. Nowadays the company still struggles to regain its popularity.
