Chapurin - Russian’s Best Fashion Designer
Fashion designer Igor Chapurin was born in the year 1968. He completed his studies with specialty in designing women’s clothing from Vitebsk Technological College. After completing his studies he went on to work as an artist designer for senior level in the local design. It was in the year 1991 when Chapurin went to Vitebsk Technological Institute and right after it, he got his Fashion Designer degree. He went to college to continue for his one and only aim which is to be a part to the young fashion designers competition named Nina Ricci. After a year, he went on and had the chance to join for the contest and his design was one of the best and the winner of top 10. It was in 1992 of December when Igor Chapurin was invited to go Paris and presented the Russian country at the International Festival for young designers wherein this contest was the starting position for developing his talent and become one of the famous Russian designer’s shining careers. After Igor Chapurin was trained in the capital of France he was then receiving a job offer from the MAX MARA company.

Despite from other offers, Chapurin gave up his work and went back to Moscow and from there he started to make clothing for the various competitions such as Miss Russia, Miss Europe, Miss World, Miss Universe and a lot more. Chapurin had the chance to show his collection during the Bulgarian International Days of Fashion in 1994. After one year, he exhibits his very first show of his collections in Moscow and named it with “To Russia with Love”. During this special occasion, Roger Seyler, who was one of the guests and the Committee Elegance of France’s president immediately ordered more than 30 kinds of multi colored costumes for his Miss Europe 1996’s show. At the same year, he was inventing another method of embroidering a dress and because of his creativity; he became the brand name of his styles. This remarkable designer likes to mix the threads in gold, coral and beads and creates excellent dresses for Tamara Gvardtsitelli who performed at Carnegie Hall wearing the styles of Chapurin. By the year 1995 up to the present, he became famous in Russia. He got lots of customers in the year 1999 and not only popular to people of cultures and arts but companies as well such as the fashion house of Galitzine, Estee Lauder and Rene Garraud.

Regardless of the truth that Chapurin is regularly having an appearance to culture of Russia and showing into their “kokoshniki” collections or Russian Straw, this designer also using the excellent designs from various countries and specializing a fabric with high quality and creating gorgeous accessories from France and Italy. Chapurin is still continuing to demonstrate his excellent collection all over Europe and still promoting a different style of Russia just like he presented his collections in the European Ball in Paris. On the other hand in 2006, he was opening his official company “Chapurin” with the large space for his own office room, where he can place his design shop and production, office for the design furniture lines and 3 show rooms and store.
