Charles Nolan

Charles Nolan is one of the top fashion designers of America today. He is a native of New York and completed his fashion design degree at FIT. Charles Nolan was born on the 5th of June 1957 and he was the 5th among nine siblings of Elizabeth and Philip Nolan. He grew up in Brooklyn and moved to Massapequa, New York after 8 years because of his father’s work as an insurance salesman. Charles Nolan found himself very interested in clothing when he was a young boy. He used to stay up the whole night during the royal wedding occasion just to observe the wedding gown. He was able to inspire several of his brothers and sisters to get into the business of fashion. After he worked as apprentice with Christian Dior and Bill Blass, he worked together with Ellen Tracy sometime in 1990 and become the chief designer of their company and taking their collection from a well-known manufacturer of clothing to a meaningful and successful label. Their team went number one in the world of industry after one year. Charles Nolan left Ellen Tracey after six year and joined Anne Klein who was about to bankrupt. Because of the excellent talent of this designer, he was hired by Klein to recover the line. In a short period of time, the company of Klein reappeared and back in the fashion business and earned $163 million.

In 2000 during the Democratic National Convention, one of his clients, Tipper Gore was wearing Nolan’s dress and coat outfit. At the same time, he was voted to become a Council of Fashion Designers member. His excellent was widely carried with appropriate prints and reviews in TV. Charles Nolan was also featured in IBM Ad that has a lot of publications starting from Wall Street Journal to Architectural Digest. The time for Charles Nolan had appeared to create his own brand. He became more popular and he got more publicity for his creations that he made when he was able to dress with personal clients like the women with big names in the politics.

The debut of Charles Nolan label had opened at Saks Fifth Avenue in the year 2004. He designed his personal shop in details and was able to open in the trendy meatpacking district of Manhattan sometime in December. From then on, Charles Nolan has been recruiting a couple of his popular clients and friends to be present as models for his shows in the runway. One of them was Kerry Kennedy who is Robert Kennedy’s daughter. She appeared in the 2006 runway of Charles Nolan. Peggry Kerry also was able to walk in his 2007 show. Actually, Charles loves red colors and he is fond of making highlights of his wearable clothing by authorizing nonprofessional model just like the retired police of New York and the Fire Island captain and Dara Torres as well. In addition, it was in 2008 when he was able to exhibit his resort collection with the elegant combination of blue, white and red colors.
