Chompol Serimont

Chompol Serimont is one of the fabulous fashion designers in the world today. He was studying fashion design at Fashion Institute of Technology and completed the degree with a magnificent record of being a magna cum laude. After his graduation, he went on and was able to work for few firms of fashion design and started to do illustrations and soon Chompol Serimont finally became as the company’s fashion director.

Chompol Serimont was able to launch his first collection for women in 1995 and the label was instantly allures attention in New York undertaking with a characterization in WWD. It was in October 1998 when Chompol Serimont’s Cross Dress was selected by the New York Times Magazine to open doors for its famous Fall Preview fashion. In a matter of few days, the Cross Dress of Chompol Serimont immediately acquired sales in Henri Bendel.

Chompol Serimont was working very close together with his F.I.T, students as critic and mentor supporting their profession. After his graduation Chompol Serimont had the achievement of being the single alumni to show students with two years running award as the Best Designer. During the 1999 Fall collection week, Serimont was able to launch his personal line for women which instantly being acknowledged as the number of the best exciting wear and watch collections. The collection of Chompol Serimont has been featured in various popular magazines. The hotelier of the Chambers Hotel which is situated at the heart of 5th Ave of New York approaches Serimont to design the uniforms of the hotel’s front-of-house for a new elegant “Boutique Hotel”. During the “Seventh on Sixth”, Chompol Serimont was able to debut his Fall/Winter in 2001 which acquired excellent and very important applause from the audience. The representations from the pathway show are featuring in various web sites, publications and television such as covermag.com, fashionrunway.com, firstview.com, dgusa.com, DNR, Fashion TV and WWD.

During the Fashion Week, he launched his 2002 collection for Spring/Summer entitled “Departure” and he mocks the usual preppy appearance which adds the collars entwined to polo shirt with seersucker pants in two tone that sewn on the tie and announcing the faux suede Amaretta in a small and tiny bomber coats. The “Departure” collection of Serimont was once the cover story of DNR from the benchmark. By using bright colors, he was acclaimed by the Brazil’s popular magazine Marie Claire. Chompol Serimont was also nominated by the Fashion Group International for its famous award of “Rising Star”. He was also featured along with other popular fashion designer for women’s wear during the 110 Year Anniversary of the DNR. At present, this popular fashion designer is working on his new label called “Kitsch”. The latest label of Chompol Serimont was launch as a subordinate line for 2002 right after he turned back to his birthplace in Bangkok, Thailand. Because this designer is passionate of the vibrant colors and brave patterns inspired from the retro time, the line of clothing is applied of playful ready-to-wear for women that targets the generation who are conscious about fashion. The label Kitsch is available in all fashionable stores in USA’s bigger cities and in Far East, Japan and also, he is expecting for another collection to be exhibit in Europe.
