Deepak Tijori is the most popular supporting actor of the nineties, best remembered for his performance in films like ‘Aashiqui’, ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’, ‘Khiladi’, ‘ Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ and ‘Anjaam’. Deepak Tijori plunged into film direction with ‘Fareb’ starring Shilpa Shetty, Shamita Shetty and Manoj Bajpai.

Deepak Tijori ,born on 28 August 1961 in Mumbai made his bollywood debut in ‘Krodh’ released in the year 1990, however the film failed at the box office and Deepak’s acting skills went unnoticed. But soon he managed to catch the attention of filmmakers and audiences by appearing in a supporting role in the romantic- musical superhit ‘Aashiqui’. Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, ‘Aashiqui’ starred Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal as the lead pair.

The success of ‘Aashiqui’ was followed by riveting performances in Mansoor Khan’s ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’ alongside Aamir Khan, Pooja Bedi, Ayesha Jhulka, Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘sadak’ alongside Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt, Kundan Shah’s ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ alongside Shahrukh Khan, Suchitra Krishnamurthy and Naseeruddin Shah and Abbas Mustan’s ‘Khiladi’ alongside Akshay Kumar, Ayesha Jhulka, Prem Chopra and Sabeeha.

Deepak Tijori and Shahrukh Khan again shared the screen space in ‘Anjaam’ also starring Madhuri Dixit. Deepak Tijori was seen in the role of Madhuri’s husband who gets killed by the antagonist played by Shahrukh Khan. Deepak and Shshrukh were later seen together in Abbas Mustan’s ‘Baadshah’ also starring Twinkle Khanna and Raakhee Gulzar.

Deepak Tijori appeared in song sequence in Aamir Khan- Pooja Bhatt starrer superhit romantic comedy ‘Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin’ directed by Mahesh Bhatt. Deepak Tijori’s only film in the lead role was Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Pehla Nasha’ also starring Pooja Bhatt, Raveena Tandon and Paresh Rawal.

Deepak Tijori was later seen in pivotal roles in films like Vikram Bhatt’s action drama ‘Ghulam’ alongside Aamir Khan, Rani Mukherji, Sharat Saxena and Akshay Anand, Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan’ also starring Saif Ali Khan, Twinkle Khanna, Chunky Pandey and Saurabh Shukla, Mahesh Manjrekar’s award winning crime film ‘Vaastav’ starring Sanjay Dutt, Namrata Shirodkar, Reema Lagoo and Shivaji Satam, David Dhawan’s romantic comedy ‘Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge ‘ also starring Salman Khan and Karisma Kapoor, david Dhawan’s ‘Pyaar Diwana Hota Hai’ alongside Govinda and Rani Mukherji and Mahesh Manjrekar’s ‘Hathyar’ alongside Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty and Sachin Khedekar. His last appearance in films was seen in ‘Popkorn Khao Mast Ho Jao’ starring Akshay Kapoor, Tanisha Mukherji and Rashmi Nigam in lead roles.

Deepak Tijori directed ‘Oops’, a story about three struggling background dancers played by Kiran Janjani, Vikas Sethi and Adyasha. His next venture was the 2005 release thriller film ‘Fareb’ starring sisters Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Shamita Shetty and Manoj Bajpai. In fact this is the only film wherein Shilpa and Shamita appeared together, however the two of them did not have many scenes together, yet they managed to sizzle the screen with their sensuous dance number ‘Baras Ja’ featured as a promotional song.

Deepak Tijori appeared as a celebrity guest in the first season of ‘Bigg Boss’ aired on Sony Entertainment Television. He entered the ‘Bigg Boss’ house on day 7 as a replacement for Salil Ankola, actor and former cricketer. Salil Ankola was ordered to leave the show by the Mumbai High court owing to the breach of contract with the Balaji Telefilms.

Deepak Tijori is married to Shivani Tijori and they have a lovely daughter named Samara. Around a yearback, his daughter samara was kidnapped by a nineteen year old kidnapper who took her to a hotel in Madh Island and harassed her. However she was released after four hours and the kidnapper was booked by the Oshiwara Police station.
