The career of Elie Saab started from Beirut the capital of Lebanon, where his first fashion show was launched in 1982. Elie Saab was only 18 at the time when his first fashion show was launched in 1982. Even today, the main workshop of his is located in Lebanon as he is deeply attached with his country emotionally as well s physically. Apart from main workshop in Lebanon there are other workshops situate in Paris and Milan.
 Elie Saab was born in Beirut in Maronite Catholic family. A self trained designer, Elie Saab started his work in fashion industry right from his childhood when he started to learn sewing whole heartedly believing that this would be his main profession in the future. Furthermore he studied fashion from Paris when in 1981 he shifted to Paris just to study Fashion, but there were other things that were going on in his mind when in 1982 he opened his workshop in Paris. He was the first designer to be honored as member of Camera Nazionale as non-Italian in 1997 which was a great achievement and reflection of his talent and potential in fashion world. It was in Rome where he first showed his collection of designs outside Lebanon. Ready to wear were launched by Elie Saab in 1998 at Milan. At same year, he organized fashion show at Monaco; the most prominent thing about this show was the attendance of Princess Stephanie who is the princess of Monaco.
Elie Saab became an overnight success as the first and foremost the only Lebanese designer whose outfit was worn by Oscar winner artist Halle Berry in the year 2002. Burgundy gown was worn by Berry made by Saab in Academy Awards of 2002 where she got awarded for best actress. On another occasion Saab dress was worn by Berry this time of gold in the Oscars of 2003. With all these success at his back, Elie Saab is among the leading fashion designer of the world and is appreciated and honored at all level of fashion industry. As a reflection of his success and appreciation, he was invited for the membership of Chambre Syndicale in 2003 May. It was here he when, he showed Haute Couture collection for the first time in 2003 at Paris. While becoming the member of Chambre Syndical, he launched his first ready to wear collection in Paris at Summer-Spring collection of 2006. His launching was so much successful and was so much so appreciated that now Paris is his permanent runway for ready to wear collection. Over the years the quality and latest fashion had remained the trademark of Elie Saab. All his collections from ready to wear to fashion collection suits are among the top listed dresses and very trendy. Many Hollywood actors and Actresses had worn dresses from Elie Saab on big occasion reflecting the potential, quality and sense of fashion in his designs. And after all these long years, today the name Elie Saab is taken in fashion industry as synonym to fashion and quality.
