Galeotti was an architect and owner of a designer studio. This successful partnership lead to the formation of the designer label namely, Galeotti, Giorgio Armani in 1974. However, they started focussing only on the menswear when they had begun operation in 1974. Women’s wear also got featured in from the very next year in 1975. Notably, his first collection bored his headquarters’ address as the name of the label. It opened to thunderous response in 1976 and it was a spring / summer collection. Probably the simplicity worked in favour of Giorgio Armani collections. It should be noted that the design was mostly lightweight and this played a major role in fetching the right kind of attention. They started expanding the company with more designs of swimwear, underwear etc.
