Voluptuous beauty Gul Panag is a bollywood actress and former Miss India. Born on3rd January, 1979 into a family of armed forces personnel in Chandigarh, Punjab, Gul Panag is also a bio-activist, animal lover and an adventurer.

Owing to her father’s frequent relocation due to his job in the Indian army, Gul travelled around the country and attended fourteen different schools including Kendriya Vidayalas at Chandigarh, Mhow, Leh, Wellington in Tamil Nadu, The Lawrence School, Lovedale and the International School of Lusaka, Zambia. Her keen interest in public speaking earned her several awards at the state and national level debate competitions. A sports enthusiast, Gul Panag earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and later pursued her Masters in Political Science.
The multi talented Gul Panag was crowned Miss India Universe 1999 and also received the title of Miss Beautiful Smile. She was among the top ten contestants at the Miss Universe pageant 1999. After a stint of modeling and appearing in popular TV series, ‘Kashmeer’, Gul Panag made her bollywood debut with National Award winning director Ashwini Chaudhary’s ‘Dhoop’ alongside renowned actors Om Puri, Revathi and Sanjay Suri.
Her journey since then has been highly commendable with superb performances in critically acclaimed films like ‘Dor’ and ‘Manorama Six Feet Under’. Gul Panag has appeared in supporting roles in films like ‘Jurm’ alongside Bobby Deol and Lara Dutta and ‘Hello’ alongside Sharman Joshi, Sohail Khan, Isha Koppikar and Amrita Arora.
She received rave reviews for her performances in ‘Straight’ opposite Vinay Pathak and Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Rann’ alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Ritesh Deshmukh. Gul Panag received the Zee Cine Best Actress Critics Award for Nagesh Kukunoor’s ‘Dor’. She was also nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category at the Stardust awards for ‘Dor’ in 2007 and ‘Hello’ in 2009.
A highly successful model, Gul Panag has featured in a number of magazines and TV commercials. She was recently seen on the cover of Maxim and has also featured in TV commercials for popular brands like Tata Sky alongside Aamir Khan, WagonR, Toyota and Titan Raga watches.
Gul became a household name when she appeared in a number of TV shows including the travel show ‘Musafir Hoon Yaroon’ and a Karaoke Game Show ‘Kisme Kitna Hai Dum’, both aired on Star Plus. She was appreciated for her performances in Zee TV’s popular show ‘Vijay Jyoti’ based on the life of Indian army's soldiers and officers and another humor show called ‘Khoobsurat’.
Known as a thinking actor, Gul Panag is associated with a number of social causes especially education for the underprivileged, environment and sanitation. Besides playing tennis and swimming, Gul Panag enjoys adventure sports like white water rafting, rock climbing and trekking. Gul Panag recently participated in the enthralling hiking and camping extravaganza in the Himalayas. Gul Panag also runs the Mumbai International Marathon every year.
