A shawl is a piece of triangular or rectangular cloth that is worn over the upper body, arms, over the head and over the shoulders. Based on the history, the very first shawl or also called as “shals” were seen and worn by male and female individuals in Achaemenid, Persia. On the other hand, each places or states in India have their own way of crafting a fabric using their knowledge in embroidery art. Each of the state also has different patterns, styles and techniques. The fact that India is the home of elegant crafted arts and embroidered items, their products became a fashions statement globally.
