Jeeva
Jeeva is a famed Indian actor who besides predominantly appearing in Tamil films has also starred in a couple of Malayalam films. The award winning Tamil actor commenced his acting journey as a child artist during late nineties. Born as Amaravathi B Choudary to film producer R. B. Choudhary and Mahjabeen on 4 January 1983 in Chennai, Jeeva has three brothers- B. Suresh, a film producer, Jeevan, an entrepreneur and Githan Ramesh, an actor. Jeeva is married to Supriya, his childhood friend.

Jeeva first appeared in his father’s ‘Cheran Pandian’ and later in Vikraman’s ‘Suryavamsam’ as a child artist. His first two films as a lead hero were ‘Aasai Aasaiyai’ and ‘Thithikudhe’, both his home productions that failed at the box office. However he soon cemented his status with Ameer Sultan’s ‘Raam’.
Jeeva starred alongside Gajala, Saranya Ponvannan, Rahman, Ganja Karuppu, and Murali in the 2005 blockbuster Tamil drama ‘Raam’. Ditected, written and produced by Ameer Sultan, ‘Raam’ received a special screening at the Cyprus International Film Festival where it won immense appreciation. Jeeva won the CIFF Best Actor Award while Yuvan Shankar Raja received the CIFF award for the Best Muscal Score for ‘Raam’. The Korean remake of ‘Raam’ is ex[ected to release sometime in the year 2010.

Jeeva received positive reviews for his impactful performance in ‘Keerthi Chakra ‘. Directed by debutant director Major Ravi, ‘Keerthi Chakra ‘ was a Malayalam war- based film also starring Mohanlal, Gopika, Prakash Raj, Ramesh Khanna, Cochin Haneefa, Biju Menon and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy. The film showcased the modus operandi of the National Security Guards and derived its name from the Indian gallantry award, Kirti Chakra. The film was based on true militant attacks and the aftermath in the Jammu & Kashmir valley. ‘Keerthi Chakra’ became a huge commercial and critical success and was dubbed into Tamil as ‘Aran’. Jeeva and his female co-star Gopika received the Asianet Best Star Pair Award. Jeeva was next seen in National Award winner director S.P.Jananathan’s Tamil film ‘E’ alongside Nayantara, Karunaas and Pasupathy and later in Subramani Siva’s Tamil film ‘Pori’ also starring Pooja, Seeman and Karunas. Jeeva played the protagonist in critically acclaimed film ‘Kattradhu Thamizh’ released in 2007. Previously titled ‘Tamil MA’, ‘Kattradhu Thamizh’ was written and directed by debutant Ram and also starred Anjali and Karunas in pivotal roles. Jeeva’s Tamil film ‘Rameswaram’ directed by S. Selvam alongside Bhavana, Manivannan, Lal and Karunas was a huge commercial success while V. V. Kathir’s Tamil action drama ‘Thenavattu’ alongside Poonam Bajwa and Ganja Karuppu did reasonable well at the box office. Jeeva was recently seen in Rajesh’s romantic film ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’, supposedly inspired from the South Korean film ‘My Sassy Girl’ released in 2001. Besides Jeeva, other pivotal roles were played by Anuya Bhagvath, Santhanam , Urvashi, while Arya made a cameo appearance. Jeeva also appeared in Thiraivannan’s action film ‘Kacheri Arambam’ also starring Poonam Bajwa and J. D. Chakravarthy. Jeeva is currently filming for Sai Ramani’s Tamil action drama film ‘Singam Puli’ alongside Divya Spandana, Santhanam and Livingston, ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ fame Rajesh’s Tamil romantic comedy ‘Boss Engira Bhaskaran’ alongside Arya, Nayantara and comedian Santhanam, KV Anand’s ‘Ko’ alongside Ajmal Amer and newcomer Karthika Nair, daughter of well known actress Radha and famed Telugu director Suryakiran’s assistant Gokul’s directorial debut ‘Rowthiram’ opposite Shriya Saran while ‘Vanthaan Vendraa’ is in its pre production stages.
