Kajal Aggarwal is a young Indian actress who stars prominently in Tamil and Telugu films. Kajal was also seen in a Hindi film titled ‘Kyun! Ho Gaya Na’ in a supporting role. Kajal was born on 19th June, 1985 in Ludhiana Punjab. Kajal Aggarwal has appeared in successful films like ‘Purudu’, ‘Magadheera’ and ‘Darling’.

Kajal Aggarwal began her acting career in a minor supporting role alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vivek Oberoi, Om Puri, Rati Agnihotri and Suneil Shetti in Samir Karnik’s 2004 release romantic bollywood film ‘Kyun! Ho Gaya Na’. Kajal made her Telugu debut in the year 2007 with Teja’s ‘Lakshmi Kalyanam’ opposite Kalyan Ram. Kajal was next seen in Krishna Vamshi’s ‘Chandamama’ alongside Navdeep, Shiva Balaji and Sindhu Menon. The film was remade into Tamil with the title ‘A Aa E Ee’. Kajal won positive reviews for her performance in ‘Pourudu’. Directed by Raj Aditya and produced by D. Supriya ‘Pourudu’ starred Sumanth and Kajal Aggarawal in lead roles.
 In the year 2008, Kajal Aggarwal ventured into Tamil film industry with Perarasu’s ‘Pazhani’. Produced by the famed director Shakthi Chidambaram, ‘Pazhani’ starred Bharath, Kajal and Kushboo in lead roles. Kushboo played Bharat’s sister while Kajal played his love interest in the film. Kajal’s next Tamil film earned huge success and became one of the highest grossing films of the year. Titled ‘Saroja’, the film was a comedy thriller supposedly inspired from the Hollywood flick ‘Judgement Day’. ‘Saroja’ starred Shiva, Vaibhav Reddy, Premji Amaren, S. P. B. Charan, Kajal Aggarwal, Vega Tamotia, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Sampath Raj, Nikita Thukral and Nagendran in significant roles. ‘Saroja’ was simultaneously made in Telugu and both the versions were released on the same day.
Subsequently Kajal appeared in two other Tamil films, namely Saran’s ‘Modhi Vilayadu’ opposite Vinay Rai and Bharathiraja’s ‘ Bommalattam ‘ alongside Arjun and Nana Patekar. Kajal’s most pioneering performance was seen in the 2009 release Telugu film ‘Magadheera’. Directed by S. S. Rajamouli and produced by Allu Aravind, ‘Magadheera’ starred Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles while other significant roles were played by Srihari and DevGill. The film is set in the year 1609, wherein Kajal plays a princess who falls in love with the royal guard played by Ram Charan Teja.
Kajal was also seen in Saravanan’s 2009 release tElugu film ‘Ganesh’ opposite Ram. ‘Ganesh’ also starred the famed comedian Dr. Bramhanandam and twenty six kids. She played the female lead opposite Allu Arjun in ‘Arya 2’, the sequel to Telugu mega hit ‘Arya’. Both the films were directed by Sukumar and ‘Arya 2’ also starred Navdeep and Shraddha Das in supporting roles. ‘Arya’ starring Allu Arjun was released in the year 2004 and was also a mega success. While ‘Arya’ was dubbed into Oriya and Tamil, its sequel will also be released in Oriya and later in Tamil.
Kajal Aggarwal was recently seen in the multistarrer Telugu film ‘Om Shanti’ alongside Navdeep, Nikhil, Bindu Madhavi, Aditi Sharma and Murali Mohan and A. Karunakaran’s ‘Darling’ opposite Prabhas. Kajal is currently working on a Tamil film – ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’ opposite Karthi and two Telugu films- ‘Brindhavanam’ opposite Jr. NTR and ‘Merupu’ opposite Ram Charan Teja.
