Malaika is married to actor Arbaaz Khan for the last eleven years and the couple is blessed with a son, Arhaan, aged seven. Arbaaz is the son of veteran screen writer Salim Khan and brother of actors Salman Khan and Sohail Khan. Malaika’s younger sister Amrita Arora is also a well known bollywood actress.

Malaika Arora began her career as a VJ when MTV commenced its operations in India. Always fond of modeling, Malaika’s photographs shot by Suresh Natarajan incidentally fell into the hands of Suma Varghese, the editor of Society magazine and Malaika became the cover girl of Society at an age of 20. Eventually her potential was realized by MTV and she was seen in popular MTV shows Love Line, Stylecheck and also hosted a number of prestigious award ceremonies and concerts.

Malaika featured in a number of TV and print advertisements for brands like Pearl Pet, Bare Necessities, Mafatlal, Benzer, Tanishq, Tribhuvandhas Bhimji and De-Beers etc. After a successful modeling career, Malaika appeared in an item dance number in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Dil Se’ opposite Shahrukh Khan. The track ‘Chaiya Chaiya’ became a smash hit and Malaika became the new face of glamour in bollywood. Since then Malaika has featured in a number of popular dance numbers in films like Karan Johar’s ‘Kaal’, Sajid Khan’s ‘Heyy Baby’, Farah Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’, Anees Bazmee’s ‘Welcome’ and a Telugu film ‘Athidhi’. Malaika Arora Khan has also done special appearances in ‘Bichhoo’ , ‘Indian’, ‘Kaante’ ,’ Maa Tujhhe Salaam’ and ‘EMI’.

Malaika Arora Khan was seen as a judge in Star Plus’s celebrity dance show Nach Baliye in season 1 and season 2. She later appeared as a judge alongside actor Chunkey Pandey in ‘Zara Nack Ke Dikha’ aired on star One. Recently she was one of the relationship experts or 'Rishto Ke Parkhi' in reality show called 'Lux Perfect Bride' along with actors Shekhar Suman and Amrita Rao aired on Star Plus.
