Manoj Manchu is a famed Tollywood actor known for outstanding performances in films like ‘Raju Bhai’, ‘Nenu Meeku Telusa...?’, ‘Prayanam’, ‘Bindaas’ and ‘Vedam’. Manoj Manchu is the son of Mohan Babu, an eminent actor, film producer, politician and educationist. Manoj Manch’s brother Vishnu Manchu, also known as Vishnu Vardhan Babu is also an actor nd producer. He appeared in the Telugu blockbuster ‘Dhee’ alongside Genelia D'Souza, Srihari and Brahmanandam. Vishnu Manchu also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Mohan Babu Corporation based in Hyderabad.
A graduate from the Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Manoj Manchu appeared in several films like K. Raghavendra Rao’s ‘Major Chandrakanth’, followed by ‘Punyabhoomi Naa Desam’ and ‘Adavilo Anna’ as a child artist. As an adult, he starred in ‘Donga Dongadhi’ that went unnoticed and later played a cameo in Adi’s ‘Political Rowdy’ starring his father Mohan Babu, Abbas, Charmme Kaur, Prakash Raj and Aishwarya.
Manoj Manchu shared the screen space with his father Mohan Babu in Dasaradh’s ‘Sri’ also starring Tamanna Bhatia and Sukanya. He later played the lead role in the 2007 release ‘Raju Bhai’ alongside Sheela, Dhandapani, Tanikella Bharani and Brahmanandam. Directed by Suriya Kiran and produced by Mohan Babu, ‘Raju Bhai’ was the remake of Myshkin’s Tamil mega hit ‘Chithiram Pesuthadi’ starring Narain, Bhavana and Malavika.

Manoj Manch’s breakthrough performance was seen in ajay Sastry’s ‘Nenu Meeku Telusa...?’ alongside Riya Sen and Sneha Ullal. The film was produced by Manoj’s sister Lakshmi Manchu and also starred Nassar and Brahmanandam in pivotal roles. Manoj played the character of a young boy who suffers from recurring amnesia after an accident that kills his father. The film is inspired from the 2004 release ‘50 First Dates’ starring Adam Sandler and Drew Berrymore and 1994 American film ‘Clean Slate’ starring Dana Carvey and Michael Gambon. ‘Nenu Meeku Telusa...?’ became a huge commercial success and was released in Tamil as ‘Ennai Theriyuma?’
Manoj strengthened his position with ‘Prayanam’ written and directed by Chandra Sekhar Yeleti. The film also starred Harika and Brahmanandam and was a huge critical as well as commercial success. The film portrayed the love story of totally opposite individuals played by Manoj and Harika. Manoj Manchu appeared in a distinct avatar in ‘Bindaas’ released in early 2010. Directed by Veeru Potla and produced by Sunkara Ramabrahmam, ‘Bindaas’ featured Sheena Shahabadi as the female lead opposite Manoj Manchu. The film was certainly a success with a hundred day run in several centres.
Manoj was recently seen in the telugu drama ‘Vedam’alongside Allu Arjun, Anushka Shetty, Manoj Bajpai, Lekha Washington, Siya Gautham, Diksha Seth, Saranya and Brahmanandam. Directed by Krish, ‘Vedam’ opened to favourable box office response and is doing overwhelming business. ‘Vedam’ is touted to be one of the highest grossing Telugu films of the year.
Manoj Manchu is expected to be seen in K. Raghavendra Rao’s forthcoming Telugu film ‘Jhummandi Naadam’ opposite Tapsee. The film is a musical entertainer wherein Manoj plays an aspiring singer. It is believed that ‘Jhummandi Naadam’ is the remake of Mohan Babu’s ‘Allari Mogudu’, also directed by K. Raghavendra Rao.
