Milind Soman was born on November 4, 1965 in Scotland and spent seven years in England before moving to India. Milind Soman is undoubtedly one of the most popular Indian supermodels; he has not only modeled for Indian designers but also worked with many international designers and brands. Milind has also featured in music videos for artists like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Alisha Chinai and Sonu Nigam.

Milind Soman after dating Indian supermodel Madhu Sapre for a while got married to French actress Mylène Jampanoï. Mylène Jampanoï is of is of Chinese-French origin and met Milind during the shooting of her film ‘Valley of Flowers’ in Goa. However the couple went in for a divorce and Milind is now dating Shahana Goswami. Shahana Goswami shot to fame after appearing as the female lead opposite Arjun Rampal in the National Award winning ‘Rock On’. She also earned positive reviews for her performance in critically acclaimed ‘Firaaq’. Though Milind and Shahana have known eacg other for more than seven years, the two started seeing each other only after Milind officially announced his divorce. However according to sources the divorce was not that obligatory as Milind- Mylène marriage was registered neither in India nor in France.

Milind Soman was one of the very first few male models who plunged into acting. His first tryst with acting was the television show ‘A Mouthful of Sky’, followed by popular science fiction drama ‘Captain Vyom’ wherein he played the protagonist. Milind was next seen in supporting roles in films like ‘Tarkieb’, ‘Agni Varsha’ and ‘Pyaar Ki Dhun’. His first film as a protagonist was Mani Shankar’s thriller film ‘16 December’ alongside Dipannita Sharma, Aditi Gowitrikar and Sushant Singh. Milind Soman produced as well as starred in ‘Rules: Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula’ directed by Parvati Balagopalan. However success eluded Milind till he plunged into Tamil films. Milind Soman appeared in the negative lead in Sarath- Jyothika starrer ‘Pachaikili Muthucharam’. The film became a box office success and was remade into Hindi as ‘The Train: Some Lines Should Never Be Crossed’ starring Emran Hashmi, Geeta Basra and Sayali Bhagat. In the meanwhile, Milind Soman appeared in Bollywood films like ‘Jurm’, ‘Bheja Fry’, ‘Say Salaam India’, ‘Bhram’ and ‘Bhagmati’ etc. He also played significant roles in Swedish film ‘Arn – The Knight Templar’ directed by Jan Guillou. Milind was also seen its sequel titled ‘Arn – The Kingdom at Road's End’, both the films were also dubbed into English, Latin, Arabic and French. Milind Soman featured in Pan Nalin’s 2006 release romantic drama ‘Valley of Flowers’. It was during the shooting of this film that Milind Soman met Mylène Jampanoï whom he married and later divorced. Milind Soman’s earned considerable success as a villain in Tamil films. His recently released Tamil film ‘Paiyaa’ starring Karthik Sivakumar and Tamannaah Bhatia has been declared a super success at the box office. Milind was also seen in a pivotal role in Telugu film ‘Satyameva Jayathe’ supposedly inspired from the 2004 release bollywood film ‘Khakee’. Milind Soman and his ex-girlfriend and supermodel Madhu Sapre stirred controversy by posing nude for a print advertisement. Milind and Madhu were seen only in a pair of shoes and a python wrapped around them in the print advert for Tuff shoes. The advertisement was said to be utterly offensive and Mumbai police filed a case against them. In addition to that another case was filed against the ad agency for illegal use of python. However after fourteen years of trial, the case was dismissed and accused were acquitted.
