Monalisa- enchantment of fashion

Fashion industry is a field that involves products with a very short life cycle. A short life cycle of a product indicates that new products should be continuously introduced to stay alive in market. Globalisation has made a great difference in the world of fashion. Since people are aware of the fashion in vogue in the fashion capitals like Paris, London, New York and other capitals, they expect similar clothing in the local market and national market. This is the reason behind the designers visiting the fashion shows held in fashion capitals to know about the latest collections and innovation. In India people have become more aware about brands, designer labels and couture and therefore many designers have come up recently to make a mark for themselves. One such designer is Monalisa. She is a growing designer.

Monalisa started her career doing a design course in one of the very famous institutes. Now she is a growing designer whose clothing line is slowly gaining popularity and fame in the Indian market. Monalisa just like any other designer is doing research in consumer behaviour and the changes in fashion and the various influences on fashion. This in great way helps Monalisa to decide upon her future collections. The research is very important to introduce apparels which are in trend.

Ethnic wear, casual wear, street wear, formal wear and several other segments are there. Monalisa concentrates on casual wear and ethnic wear. Casual wear is one category that changes very frequently. It also varies with season. In fashion generally four seasons are considered: summer, spring, winter and autumn. In order to release a seasonal collection, research has to be done six months well ahead of the month of release. Monalisa does her research with the help of a small research team. Her team will help in identifying areas of fashion where people show much interest. They conduct the research with the help of fashion magazines, fashion shows and movies. They forecast the design by doing magazine analysis. This in turn helps them to identify the trend direction according to which they design and develop the apparels. There is a lot of effort put in to this forecasting since it is very essential in developing apparels in trend.

With the increasing interest given towards environmentally friendly clothing, designers have started developing clothing for the same. Go green is the concept that is creating waves in the fashion industry around the world. Monalisa is also one among the designer who is concentrating on the eco friendly garments. Use of vegetable dyes, use of organic cotton and using eco friendly processing techniques for fabric dyeing and production are some of the elements that are considered in developing garments that are eco friendly.

Monalisa is a designer who has an enduring passion towards fashion and designing. This passion and interest will surely take her to places and she is set to create waves in the fashion industry with her passion and enthusiasm toward developing clothing line that will attract people.
