Rocky S is an ingenious designer known for his creative and trendsetting designs. A well known name in the Indian fashion industry, Rocky S possesses an impeccable flair for designing. A commerce graduate, Rocky S chose to pursue a career in fashion designing and stunned his rather conservative family that perceived fashion designing to be an overrated version of tailoring. His father was a CA, and one of his brother was an accountant while the other one was into construction business.

Despite a little resentment at home, Rocky stood up for his passion for fashion designing and joined the reputed J.D. Institute for fashion designing to receive professional training. Rocky S was blessed with an inventive mind and original designing ideas that just needed to be buffed a little.
After being trained at the J.D. Institute for fashion designing, Rocky S landed a job as a designer at the well known departmental store, ROOPAM where he worked for around two and a half years and improved his technical knowledge. By then Rocky S gained immense exposure and plunged into bollywood with designing for superstar Akshay Kumar. His costumes received rave reviews and Rocky started a small scale manufacturing unit to set up a base for his work. He soon started designing for bollywood celebrities like Rekha, Sridevi, Raveena Tandon, Shilpa Shetty, Manisha Koirala etc.
Rocky S after learning the trends and know how’s of the fashion world opened his own store under the label ROCKY S that features ladies and men designer wear. The young and highly talented designer has achieved a lot in the past few years and made a mark in the fashion industry. Rocky S was selected to represent India at the coveted IGEDO fair held in Dusseldorf- Germany in September, 1998. In 2001, Selfridges based in London showcased Rocky’s collection in an in house fashion show. Rocky S showcased his stunning ethnic line to launch his prêt and couture label 'Boulevard Benzer' in New York. Rocky S received the Most Stylish Designer at the MTV style Awards in the year 2004.
Since then Rocky s has had an eventful journey in the domestic as well as international fashion industry. He had the honor of opening the Milan Fashion Week 2005- Milano Della Moda along with the design Gods Armani, Roberto Cavalli and Prada. Rocky launched his high prêt label named Rocky S Noir that retails in a number of stores across India and abroad.
Rocky also launched fragrances, for both men and women by the name Rocky S Noir Femme and Rocky s Noir Pour Hommes unveiled by bollywood hunk and former supermodel Arjun Rampal at Aurus Lounge. Rocky S also designs bags under the label Rocky S Les Bags and Home décor items under Rocky S Home. His club wear line called Rocky S club designs exquisite club wear for both men and women. In fact he has tied up with the largest manufacturer of laces and embroidered f fabrics, Hakoba to create riveting prêt club line.
Rocky S has a widespread list of clients including celebrities like John Abraham, Bipasha Basu, Sushmita Sen, Amisha Patel, Shilpa Shetty, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Diya Mirza, Arjun Rampal and the international pop sensation Beyoncé Knowles.
