Romanian Couching- Textured beauty
“Simple things are much more beautiful in reality”. This is very much fact which will be true to whatever things in the world right from women’s, flowers, monuments, so do designs too. One such design is Romanian couching. I am very much sure that people who could have seen the beauty of the Romanian couching would agree to this statement strongly and people those who didn’t seen the it will also agree to this once they see.
So it’s very obvious that you all will have one question in your mind that is what makes the Romanian couching so special and given so much importance in this description. Let me make clear it is not a basic design; it’s just a filler design. As it is clear that the filler stitch should capable of projecting the base fabric and design much more shinning. These Romanian stitches have all the above mentioned properties and not only those properties it also have some more beneficial properties to its own credit which are high texture and eye catching intersecting patterns and these patterns I turn gives more scintillating look to the design.
Now you may assumed something about the construction of the Romanian couching that is this design will be somewhat complicated because it got lot of advantages plus intersecting patterns. But you know what fellas, sometimes we are out smarted by the beauty of the design. As it is very simple and easy design to learn.
Most of the embroidery designs will be constructed using two threads, but the specialty of the Romanian couching is it employs only one thread that’s what makes it easy to learn and adopt in practice. There is one more important point which needs to be stressed here that Romanian couching is the further advancement of Romanian stitch but not much different. The difference is that the long threads are crossed with couching threads which may be long or medium depending on the effect you want it. Now moving on to constructing the Romanian couching you need to make a stitch which would cover the whole length of the pattern and pull the needle to the left side of the thread. Then next you have to make a small stitch by passing through the long threads to the right and make sure that you keep the thread above the needle and this cycle should keep on repeating to cover the pattern area fully.
