The stitches, even though not done neatly, should be firm enough to keep the mirrors intact and in the center.
Once the mirror is in place in Shisha Stitch, the needle is brought along the mirror and passed beneath the base threads. The thread is passed under needle similar to the way it is done in a button-hole stitch. Then, a small stitch is made on the fabric beside the mirror, and the thread is pulled under the needle. Then, the needle is passed under the base threads. The next stitch consists of making a tiny stitch beside the mirror and into the last loop stitch. Ensure that the starting stitches are tight enough and are a little distant from the sides of the shisha. Tighter stitches ensure that the mirror is held safely and that it would not be dropped when the fabric moves vigorously.
