Sneha is a Filmfare Award winning actress who predominantly appears in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films. However she also starred in the 2006 release Kannda film ‘Ravi Shastri’ opposite Ravichandran. Sneha has received several awards for her pioneering performances including Filmfare Award, CineMAA Award, Nandi Award, Vijay Award and Tamil Nadu State Film Award.

Sneha was born as Suhasini Rajaram Naidu born 12 October 1981to Rajaram Naidu and Padmavathy Naidu in Mumbai. She was raised in Dubai where she completed her education. Her family finally sett;ed in Panruti in Tamil Nadu though her mother was a native of Rajamundry, Andhra Pradesh.

Sneha ventured into the film industry with the 2001 release Malayalam film ‘Ingane Oru Nilapakshi’ opposite Kunchacko Boban. In the same year, she appeared in two successful Tamil films- ‘Ennavale’ opposite Madhavan and the multistarrer ‘Aanandham’ alongside Mammootty, Murali, Abbas, Srividya, Devayani and Rambha. Sneha received the coveted Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress for ‘Aanandham’.

She plunged into Telugu cinema with Bala Sekharan’s ‘Priyamaina Neeku’ opposite Tarun and later appeared in ‘Tholi Valapu’ opposite Gopichand. Sneha again received the Tamil Nadu Film State Award for the Best Actress for her riveting performance in the Tamil film ‘Virumbugiren’. Virumbugiren was directed by Susi gAnesan and starred Prashanth, Sneha and Nassar.

Sneha won her first Filmfare Award in the Best Supporting Actress Category for the Tamil film ‘Unnai Ninaithu’. Vikraman’s ‘Unnai Ninaithu’ starring Suriya, Laila and neha earned the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for the Best Film. Sneha was next seen in mega hit films like ‘Hanuman Junction’, ‘Unnai Ninaithu’ and ‘April Madhathil’. Sneha earned the privilege of working in successful films with eminent actors like Kamal Hassan in ‘Pammal K. Sambandam’, Vikram in ‘King’ and Vijay in ‘Vaseegara’.

Sneha won accolades for her exemplary portrayal of the double role in ‘Parthiban Kanavu’, a heroine centric film directed by Karu Pazhaniappan also starring Srikanth. Sneha was again paired opposite Kamal Hassan in the 2004 Tamil blockbuster ‘Vasool Raja MBBS’. The film was the remake of Rajkumar Hirani’s Hindi superhit film ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ starring Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani and Gracy Singh. Sneha also starred in the critically and commercially successful film Tamil film ‘Autograph’ by Cheran. ‘Autograph’ won three National Awards including one Golden Lotus Award and two Silver Lotus Awards. Sneha earned her second Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for ‘Autograph’.

Sneha made her mark in the Telugu film industry with award winning performances in Bapu’s ‘Radha Gopalam’ opposite Srikanth and K. Raghavendra Rao’s ‘Sri Ramadasu’ opposite Akkineni Nagarjuna. She won Nandi Special Jury Award for ‘Radha Gopalam’ and CineMAA Award for Best Actress (Jury) for ‘Sri Ramadasu’. The telugu superhit ‘Sri Ramadasu’ also won three awards at the prestigious Nandi Awards.

Sneha’s breakthrough performance was seen in Karu Pazhaniappan’s tamil hit ‘Pirivom Santhippom’ opposite Cheran. Sneha received several awards including Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress, ITFA Award, Benze Award for Best Actress, Vijay Award for Best Actress, Ritz Award for , Best Actress, Meera Tamil Music Award for Best Actress in a Song Sequence and 58th Film Fans Association Award for Best Actress 2008. She was also nominated for Filmfare Best Actress Award.

Sneha’s forthcoming Tamil films are ‘Vandematharam’, ‘Murattu Kaalai’, ‘Ponnar Shankar’, ‘Nootrukku Nooru’ and ‘Vidiyal’. She will also be seen in a Malayalam film ‘Shikar: The Hunt’.
