Sonali Bendre is a renowned Bollywood actress and TV personality. Sonali is also a former model and has acted in regional language films, particularly in Marathi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. The thirty five year old gorgeous actress was born on 1st January, 1975. Sonali Bendre attended the Kendriya Vidyalaya Antop Hill, Sion and Holy Cross High School, Thane, Mumbai. Sonali is married to Goldie Behl, a writer, director and producer. Goldie is the son of well-known producer-director, Ramesh Behl. Goldie has worked on films like Drona and Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai as a writer and director. Goldie Behl has also co-produced the 1998 release ‘Angaaray’. Sonali gave birth to a baby boy, Ranveer on 9th August, 2005.
Prior to joining film industry, Sonali Bendre started her career as a model and has appeared in commercials for the reputed brand Lakme. She was chosen for the coveted "Star Dust Talent Search" and she received rigorous training from ace filmmakers and performers of bollywood. Sonali Bendre made her acting debut in K. Ravi Shankar’s ‘Aag’ alongside Govinda and Shilpa Shetty. Released in 1994, ‘Aag’ could not do well at the box office. However Sonali was noticed and she received numerous offers. Sonali played a negative character for the first time in 1995 release ‘Takkar’. Sonali Bendre was appreciated for her riveting performance in dance number ‘Humma Humma’ in Mani Ratnam’s commercially and critically successful movie ‘Bombay’.

Sonali Bendre has worked with most of the superstars of bollywood including Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suneil Shetty, Ajay Devgan and Anil Kapoor. Besides her genuine acting skills, Sonali is also known for her stunning dance performances in movies like ‘Gaddar’, ‘Sapoot’, ‘Bombay’, ‘Lajja’ and ‘Major Saab’. Sonali Bendre was appreciated for her supporting role in Karan Johar’s ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ alongside Shahrukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Priety Zinta. Sonali Bendre also starred in the popular theatre play ‘Aap Ki Soniya’.
Besides working in bollywood and tollywood, Sonali Bendre has also appeared on television as a presenter as well as judge. Sonali Bendre featured as a host in the dance show "Kya Masti Kya Dhoom....!”.
