Venkatesh Daggubati, popularly known as Victory Venkatesh is a notable Tollywood actor known for his award winning performances in several commercially and critically successful films. Venkatesh made his acting debut as a child artist in ‘Premnagar’ produced by his father D. Ramanaidu and later appeared as a hero in K. Raghavendra Rao’s superhit film ‘Kaliyuga Pandavulu’.

Venkatesh was born to Dr. D. Ramanaidu and Rajeshwari December 13, 1960 in Karamchedu, Andhra Pradesh. His father Dr. D. Ramanaidu holds the Guinness Book of Record for being the most prolific producer with around 110 films in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Bengali. Dr. D. Ramanaidu is also a member of the TDP and a former Member of Parliament. Venkatesh’s brother D. Suresh Babu runs Suresh Productions while his younger sister Lakshmi was earlier married to popular film star Akkineni Nagarjuna.
Venkatesh attended the reputed Don Bosco, Egmore, Chennai and later graduated in Commerce from the Loyola College. He obtained an MBA degree from from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, USA. Venkatesh is married to Neeraja and they are bleassed with four kids, a son named Arjun Ramnath and daughters Aashritha, Havyavahini and Bhavana. Venky is an ardent cricket fan and a loyal supporter of the IPL team, Deccan Chargers.
Venkatesh made his debut as the lead hero in K. Raghavendra Rao’s superhit film ‘Kaliyuga Pandavulu’ opposite Khushboo and won the Nandi Award for Best New Actor and Kinnera Award for the Best Actor for his debut film. Venkatesh won the Cinegoers Award for the best New Actor for ‘Thrimurthulu’ and Vamsi Berkley Award for ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’. The stride of Best Actor Awards continued with Kinnera Award, Madras Film Fans Award and Cinegoers Award for ‘Brahma Putrudu’. Venkatesh played the male lead opposite Bhanupriya in K. Vishwanath’s mega hit Telugu film ‘Swarna Kamalam’ tat erned him the Nandi Award for Best Actor. The appreciation was followed by Bhagyanagar Award for ‘Vaarasudochadu’ and Nandi Award for ‘Prema’. Venkatesh displayed a brilliant comic timing in B Gopal’s ‘Bobbili Raja’ also starring Divya Bharati, Vanisree and Kaikala Satyanarayana. The film had a 175 day run in three centers and was released in Tamil as ‘Vaaliban’ and Hindi as ‘Rampur ka Raja’. Venkatesh received the Cinegoers Award and Bhagyanagar Award for Best Actor for ‘Bobbili Raja’. Venkatesh starred alongside Tabu, Mohan Babu, Rao Gopal Rao, and Sharada Urvashi in K. Raghavendra Rao’s blockbuster ‘Coolie o 1’ and bagged the Madras Film Fans Award and Cinegoers Best Actor Award. He again won the Cinegoers Award and Lions Club Award Best Actor for ‘Sundara Kanda’. Venkatesh gave a riveting performance in ‘Chanti’ and ‘Abbai Garu’ thus earning him Yuvavahini Award, Kalasagar Award, Vamsi Berkley Award, Cinema Express Award and Cinegoers Award. Venkatesh is probably one of the few Tollywood actors with dozens ofawards in his kitty including Nandi Award, Kalasagar Award for ‘Dharmachakram’, Vamsi Berkley Award for ‘Pavitra Bandham’ , Nandi Award for ‘Ganesh’ , National Award and Nandi Award for ‘Kalisundam Raa’ and Santhosam Award for ‘Sankranthi’. Venkatesh appeared alongside Trisha Krishnan and Sriram in Selvaraghavan’s multiple award winning film ‘Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule’. Venkatesh received the Nandi Award and Santhosham Award for Best Actor and was also nominated for Filmfare Best Actor Award. ‘Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule’ was later remade into Tamil titled ‘Yaaradi Nee Mohini’ starring Dhanush and Nayantara.
Venky was recently seen in Chakri Toleti’s ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’- remake of the Bollywood film A Wednesday‘and Srinu Vytla’s superhit comedy film ‘Namo Venkatesa’. Venkatesh will soon be seen in ‘Marmayogi’ alongside Kamal Hassan, Shriya Saran, Trisha Krishnan, Hema Malini and ‘Chandramukhi Sequel’ alongside Anushka Shetty and Kamalinee Mukherjee.
