Bengali beauty Bipasha Basu is a popular bollywood actress and a former supermodel. Bipasha Basu was born on 7th Jauary, 1977 in a Bengali Hindu family in New Delhi, the family later shifted to Kolkatta. Bipasha Basu attended the Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir and the Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society College. She aimed to study medicine but owing to her dislike for dissection, she switched her stream to commerce.
Bipasha Basu participated in the Ford Godrej Cinthol Supermodel contest and was crowned as the Ford Supermodel of the World in December 1996.
