Gabriele Colangelo was born in Milan, Italy on the 27th day of February, 1975. When he graduated in high school he pursue in college taking an Antique Literature course. One of the remarkable moments during his college days was when he joined and won a scholarship as a Fashion Stylist into a certain competition which was hosted by the INCF or “Italian National Chamber of Fashion”. Actually, the degree that he took up challenges him so much and taught him lots of experience. In the span of four years, he joined the Itierrre Spa and was able to share his talents by designing the Versace Jeans Donna line. Soon after this, he was once connected with Versace with Roberto Cavalli for project” Just Cavalli” together with the Marille Burani Fashion Group. In the said job, Gabriel Colangelo was the Almuleti J Line artistic director.
On the other hand, the Gabriele Colangelo label debuted in February 2008 during the Milano Moda Donna. During this event he was able to present his unique capsule collection featuring his excellent art designs by executing a good combination of his fur craftsmanship and intricate details of embroidery. It was on July of 2008 where he won on a competition called “Who is on next?” for prêt a porter which was invented and organized by Alta Roma together with the Vogue Italia. The concept of the competition is to discover new faces with their creative and exemplary skills in the fashion field that specializes in fashion and accessories.
Gabriele Colangelo, who was also known as a master tailor, favored the use of natural shapes and also used layering and draping style in his collections. Gabriele Colangelo loves fabric so during the fall ready to wear collection, he got the idea of erosion and rocks to use in his collection. He eventually came into a conclusion of using an elegant color of grays, icy whites and beiges to incorporate in his ready to wear collections for Fall. More so, in the Fall/Winter collection held in Milan in September 2009 entitled “Points of Light”; the collection is bounded and inspired the beautiful colors of ink and acrylic pictures of Hans Hartung. In addition to this, on September 25, 2009 during the spring Collection event, he showcased his smart collections that were inspired by Hans Hartung, a German French artist. Gabriele Colangelo collection was very impressive because it was embellished with a beautiful hand painted abstract style motif with shining crystals. Aside from this, the spring collections that he introduced showed a clean unfussy appeal that impressed the onlookers.
